Class Description:For students who are new to chess or need a refresh on how the pieces move. Story Time Chess is the authority in early childhood chess, using a creative, story-based curriculum to teach kids to play (and love) this complicated strategy game. Enter Chesslandia, where silly stories, colorful characters, and captivating games get kids learning and loving chess in no time. Students learn how each chess piece moves, one engaging story at a time. Our curriculum introduces each piece as a character with simple reasons for moving the way they do on the chessboard, enabling even the youngest students to recall the rules and play with enthusiasm.
